Since 2001 I have been a full time freelance photographer initially working as a photojournalist. I now work as a commercial and editorial portrait photographer. Friends and clients had asked me to photograph their weddings, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the process. The modern reportage style of wedding photography fits my personality and the way I like to photograph. 

Working as a news photographer gives me an ability to keep calm and stay focused in critical situations. I approach each wedding just like I'm shooting a documentary feature. I ask how how the couple want the photographs to look and we come up with a list of pictures. The main subjects are the bride and groom, supported by friends and family. I'm informal and unobtrusive as possible, after all it’s your day not mine. I use natural light where possible, and use flash to flatter. In a downpour I can use studio lighting to get beautiful pictures whatever the weather.
